Cast for a President
April 2000 - September 2000
As a ranch owner and frequent horseback rider for much of his adult life, Ronald Reagan has projected an image of rugged individualism as the quintessential “man of the West.” Recognizing that, many heads of state and private citizens selected western and wildlife sculpture to give to President Reagan. The artworks in this exhibition represent just a part of the collection of sculpture possessed by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum and held in trust for the people of the United States of America.
