Physical DescriptionA clear glass crystal ship style decanter (.06a) with matching stopper (.06b). On the front of the decanter is a green Waterford sticker. Included with the decanter is a brass plaque (.06c) with engraved text stating, "TO COMMEMORATE PRESIDENT REAGAN'S VISIT TO IRELAND JUNE 1984 IRISH MIST LIQUEUR COMPANY LIMITED."
Historical NoteWaterford crystal decanter which was filled with Irish Mist whiskey. Traces of whiskey are still in the bottom. The plaque reads, "TO COMMEMORATE PRESIDENT REAGAN'S VISIT TO IRELAND JUNE 1984 IRISH MIST LIQUEUR COMPANY LIMITED." It was given during a trip to Ireland June 1-4, 1984.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
