Physical DescriptionA deep blue porcelain commemorative plate with 24 kt gold detailing. Written around the edge is "To Commemorate the Inauguration of Ronald Wilson Reagan Fortieth President of the United States of America Second Term January 21, 1985." On the back is written "The 1985 Presidential Inauguration Day Plate. Designed for the Fleetwood Collection by Jeffery Matthews in Commemoration of the Inauguration of Ronald Wilson Reagan President of the United States of America at Washington, District of Columbia January 21, 1985 1 of a limited edition of 9500 plates."
Historical Note1985 Inaugural Commemorative Plate. Blue porcelain plate trimmed in gold, with center design of an eagle and flag in gold. Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
