Physical DescriptionAn inscribed paperback copy of "Les Chemins du Printemps" [The Paths of Sping] by Jean Pascal Rodieux. The front cover has a photograph of a tree in a field behind a broken fence. The back cover has a description in French. The inscription on the frontpiece states "I wish to dedicate this novel dealings with youth, drugs, but also hope to Nancy REAGAN, as to pay her my utmost respect for her consideration in this matter. Jean Pascal Rodieux Lausanne, 19. XI. 1985."
Historical NoteThe book was given during President and Mrs. Reagan's trip to Geneva, Switzerland for the 1985 summit.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to First Lady Nancy Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
