Physical DescriptionA silver hammered dish with a snake handle. Inside the dish is the seal of Mexico made of gold and silver.
Historical NoteIt was given to First Lady Nancy Reagan during the First Ladies' Conference on Drug Abuse, held in the White House Blue room in 1985. In attendance were the First Ladies of Jamaica, Japan, Malaysia, Argentina, Bolivia, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mauritius, Mexico, Norway, Pakistan, Portugal, and Panama.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a foreign official to First Lady Nancy Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
