Physical DescriptionA pewter rectangular buckle lettered "HUGHES" in ribbon detail across the top. The buckle has a relief design of four men with drilling equipment and a tower in the background. It has a silver-colored double metal loop and stud fastener on the back. There is a plaque with information about the company on the back and another lettered "EVERYDAY, WE MAKE DRILLING HISTORY."Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
