Physical DescriptionThis is a clear glass Waterford vase with a tulip design set on an octagonal base. The front of the vase is engraved “Mrs. Nancy Reagan Our Thanks For Your Support, The Lab School.”
Historical NoteThe vase was given to First Lady Nancy Reagan during a meeting with Lab School Honorees in the State Dining Room of the White House on October 30, 1985. Also present at the event were Cher, Tom Cruise, and Caitlyn Jenner. The Lab School of Washington focused on meeting the needs of students with learning differences and disabilities.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to First Lady Nancy Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and was on display in the White House until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
