Physical DescriptionA bronze oval belt buckle depicting three images of the Statue of Liberty. The center image is surrounded by engraved text stating "LIBERTY, 1886-1986." The back of the belt buckle is engraved with flowers and text stating, "SCULPTOR AL SHELTON STUDIO CITY, CA, BY THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE, A LIMITED EDITION COMMEMORATIVE, NO. ONE 1, TO RONALD REAGAN."
Historical NoteThe buckle was given when President Ronald Reagan visited California in August 1985.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
