Physical DescriptionA porcelain sculpture of an eagle titled "Soaring Gold Eagle." The sculpture is overlaid with pure gold and is posed with its wings outstretched above its head. The eagle is attached to a base made to look like a column. On the bottom of the base is a stamp with the Boehm logo and black text stating, "Soaring Gold Eagle National Symbol of the United States LIMITED EDITION OF 50 SCULPTURES Ronald Reagan PRESIDENT George Bush VICE PRESIDENT Number 0" to the right of the text is the logo for the We The People An American Celebration logo.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
