Physical DescriptionA rectangular brass belt buckle with rounded corners, cut rope edges, and a rough finish on the face. There is a silver colored metal loop and pin fastener on the back. "JOMS" and "MR. PRESIDENT THANK YOU FOR THE CONFIDENCE, FAITH, LOVE, WISDOM, FULFILLMENT FOR A BETTER WORLD, A BELIEVER IN YOU" are engraved on the back.Historical NoteGifter James Stam, a former plumber, made this belt buckle for President Ronald Reagan out of pipe fittings.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
