Physical DescriptionA white ceramic sculpture of a cat on a female body with painted gold and dark blue details. The cat's face has long pointy ears and a human-like neck stretching down to an exposed breast. The sculpture is titled "Le Chat Metamorphique" and manufactured by Limoges. Inscribed on the base of the sculpture in gold is "CREATE YOURSELF YOUR FUTURE THROUGH THE PCAHAHENT CACATION OF THE UNIVERSE IN THE UNIVERSE LE CHAT METAMORPHIQUE." Inscribed on the back of the sculpture in blue is "January 1, 1986."

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
