Physical DescriptionAn oval belt buckle commemorating the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race of 1985. The images depicted on the belt buckle are a large letter "I" with the head of a sled dog at the center, a sled dog team traveling across the belt buckle, and a sled dog team coming straight at the view from a mountain scene. Stamped on the back of the buckle is text stating, "IDITAROD TRAIL COMMITTEE, I, A/P, LIMITED 1049 SERIES."

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
