Physical DescriptionA wooden wall clock with a burned design of the Challenger Space Shuttle on the launch pad. To the right of the image is text stating "We can never turn the hands of time back, nor forward. The crew of the 'Challenger' lived for the unexpected and the adventure of their dreams. May god bless those left behind with their memories. D.E. Saintignon, Warren Norman." Below the text is the clock with Roman numerals. To the left of the image is the list of the Challenger crew names "In Memory of 'Astronauts' Michael J. Smith, Ronald E. McNair, Gregory Jarvis, Judith A. Resnik, Francis R. (Dick) Scobee, Sharon Christa McAuliffe, Ellison S. Onizuka." The back of the clock has a metal hanging hook and an inscription stating "A tribute to President Reagan and the Space Program By Warren L Norman & Danny E. Saintignon Highfill, Arkansas Feb. 9, 1986."

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
