With brass letters "TKE" and a brass plaque inscribed "PRESENTED TO FRATER REAGAN FROM ALPHA-XI DRAKE UNIVERSITY" The back of the paddle states "To Frater Ronald' Dutch' Reagan-With Charity, Esteem, and Best Wishes During Your Tenure In Office-From- Alpha XI Of Tau Kappa Epsilon, Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa," made by Danville Paddle Sales, Danville, Indiana.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
