Physical DescriptionThis is a portrait of President Ronald Reagan done on white paper in a black plastic frame. It is signed by the artist in the bottom left corner. The back of the frame has a long inscription written in ink by the donor that states, "Dear President and Mrs. Reagan, I congratulate you on the tremendous victory that you and nearly the entire country celebrated on November 4th and I wish you both the best of luck in your new roles. I worked as a ward committee chairman for the Reagan campaign here in Wisconsin and had no doubts in my mind that you would win the election; in fact, I even won $10 (shame on me for betting) when the results were in. Here is a token of my appreciation for the hard work you put into the campaign- for the great service you did in running for President. I drew this after the election, looking at the cover of Newsweek, dated November 17th 1980. I would be honored if you would accept this gift and keep it I really admire both of you and pray that you may enjoy great success. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this "letter" and I wish you the best. P.S. I hope you have some empty wall space in the White House or at Rancho del Cielo – maybe behind your desk in the Oval Office (then I could see it when you give televised speeches!!) just kidding. Sincerely, Bruce M Andrew (16) ."
