Physical DescriptionThis is a commemorative medal with the obverse depicting an image of a young Jesus in the temple speaking to six seated men. The text on the bottom of the coin states, "JESUS IN THE TEMPLE." The verso of the medallion depicts a young Jesus helping in a carpentry shop with two adults. One of the adults is standing and holding a hammer while the other is seated with a book. At the bottom of the coin is text stating, "THE HOLY FAMILY."Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
