Physical DescriptionA wooden plaque with a painted Valentine's Day message. The message is painted in white and is decorated with white daisies at the top and bottom. Also painted on the bottom is a ladybug and two red hearts. Sandy Klobas ' parents gathered the wood at Drake's Bay, California, and the artwork was created by Sandy Klobas. On the back of the plaque is a hook hanging along with the Sandy Klobas business card stating "SANDY KLOBAS Sandy's Whimsies 2512 SIMAS AVENUE Pinole, Ca 94564."Historical NoteThe gifter sent the plaque to President Reagan so that he could present it to Nancy Reagan for Valentine's Day.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to First Lady Nancy Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
