Physical DescriptionThis is a framed cross-stitch with a pair of praying hands above the bible verse from 2 Chronicles 7:14: "If My People Which Are Called By My Name, Shall Humble Themselves, and Pray, And Seek My Face, And Turn From Their Wicked Ways, Then Will I Hear From Heaven, And Forgive Their Sin, And Heal Their Land." Below the quote is a white church with a steeple over an American flag dated "NR 1-20-1981."
Historical NoteThis particular Biblical design embroidery was probably a commercial pattern or kit, as other versions of this same design were given to President Ronald Reagan.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
