Physical DescriptionThere are two ceramic figures; the first is of George Washington standing next to a cannon made by Sebastian. Text stamped in the base of the sculpture states "COPR 194 PIVOAETO" and "GEORGE WASHINGTON." The bottom of the sculpture is signed in ink "Joy Pettrozzini, KF/B/1" along with a yellow sticker with black text stating "SEBASTIAN Handcast & Hand Painted HUDSON, MASSACHUSETTS MINIATURES." (.01a) The second figure is of a woman in a red dress standing next to a bust of Benjamin Franklin. Text stamped in the base of the sculpture states "MRS. RITTENHOUSE SQUARE" and "VCFR 1948." The bottom of the sculpture is signed in ink "Joy Pettrozzini, NS/C/1" along with a yellow sticker with black text stating "SEBASTIAN Handcast & Hand Painted HUDSON, MASSACHUSETTS MINIATURES." (.01b)

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
