Physical DescriptionA first day cover for Lady Diana and Prince Charles wedding. The text on the envelope states "The Royal Wedding, The Marriage Of The Prince Of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer At St. Paul's Cathedral 29 July 1981" at the left edge of the first day cover. The right side of the envelope has three colored stamps featuring Lady Diana and Prince Charles: two are duplicates, with them on a white background and a silver silhouette of the Queen, and one has a light blue background with a dark blue silhouette of the Queen. Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
