Physical DescriptionThis is a white porcelain basket with a floral motif around the edges. The flowers are pale pink, yellow, and blue, with pale green leaves and a blue rope pattern along the edges.Historical NoteThe Belleek porcelain openwork basket with flowers was presented on the occasion of a St. Patrick's Day Luncheon March 17, 1981 at the residence of Irish Ambassador to the United States Sean Donlon, Washington, DC. President Reagan said, "Well, I came not bearing gifts of such value, but I did bring a Waterford glass filled with completely green jellybeans."

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
