Physical DescriptionA metal bust of a woman with long hair surrounded by lilies. The lilies are painted red and silver.

Historical NoteThe sculpture was in memory of the more than 56,000 men who died Vietnam and in honor of those servicemen who had Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. It was presented to Morton Blackwell, the Special Assistant to the President, by Steve Schlah of the Vietnam Veterans of Santa Barbara on June 1, 1981.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
