Physical DescriptionThis is a paperweight modeled after the St. Louis Arch, made of silver-colored metal on a white marble base. The base has a small metal plaque engraved with text stating “President Ronald Reagan.”Historical NoteOn March 23, 1981 President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan met with past and present March of Dimes Poster children in the White House East Room. Six-year old Mary Jablonski, the 1981 Poster Child, was born with spina bifida. She brought the paperweight with her to the reception.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
