The front door, with a sign lettered “THE LATIN SCHOOL” over the door, is offset to the right. In the photo, two of the stories are visible. Wide white border. The back is stamped “J10372AW” along the edge.Historical NoteThe Latin School of Chicago was founded in the Near North Side of Chicago in 1888 and the Girls School in 1913. Nancy Reagan attended from 1929 to 1939, before the schools merged and became coed.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
