Physical DescriptionA decorative bowl with a snow scene painted on it. The scene depicts a log cabin with a glowing window in the center of a snow field. Behind and to the left of the cabin is a wooden watch tower at the edge of the woods. A black inscription on the bowl's right states, "Alaska Nateay."Historical NoteAdditional pieces were also given for the other men wounded in the assasination attempt: Secret Service Agent Tim McCarthy, Press Secretary James Brady, and Metropolitan Police Officer Thomas Delahanty.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
