Physical DescriptionA metal framed copy of the political cartoon entitled "Supply Side Cinema Presents Ron Reagan's Major Production Tax Cuts Of 1981" by Gil Eisner. The poster is comprised of images, including the U.S. Capitol building, a fat Uncle Sam sitting in a chair, a woman and child shopping, and four men dressed in suits. The text at the bottom of the poster reads, "Directed by Kemp & Roth with D.R. Regan, C.W. Weinberger, W.F. SMITH, A.L. Lewis Jr. R.S. Schweiker, Malcolm Baldridge and introducing D.A. Stockman and a cast yet to be determined, coming to your neighborhood soon!" The bottom of the mat board is signed, "Dear Mr. President - This political cartoon from the N.Y. Times "making light" of Reaganomics turned out to be prophetic. Congratulations & Thanks for leading the "____ invasion" on our Commander and Chief in the battle to establish an American Renaissance for all the people - Your "Commander in arms" Josh Kemp."

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
