Physical DescriptionAn unframed painting titled "The Yellow Ribbon of Freedom (1981)". The painting is made up of yellow, white, black, and red handprints on a blue-grey background. A note taped to the back of the painting states, "The Yellow Ribbon of Freedom (1981) Allan Dilloff is a multifaceted California artist whose vibrantly colored canvas reflect the richness of his unique sensiblity. His subjects are abstracted and invested with a sense of erotic mystery. At times the vier is caressed by the soft stained washes of rainbowed coloration while other canvases, executed with a heavy impasto will excited the sense with a sudden intensity. All of Allan Dilloff's work is created with a vigorous free forw of feeling and the effect is breathtaking. His paintings have been purchased by collectors and inclueded in group shows. this is Allan's first one-man show and inclueds oils, pen and ink drawings and pastels." Also included on the back is a business card for Allan Dilloff.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
