Physical DescriptionA goose egg that has a small farm scene inside when opened. The part of the egg turned into two hinged doors is covered with red, white, and blue Austrian rhinestones in a shield pattern. The outside of the egg is painted black and decoupaged with an eagle and a bible verse from II Corinthians. The top of the egg is decorated with a red and gold rhinestone crown. The inside of the egg is lined with silver trim, and each section features a decoupage black and white scene. The door on the left features an outhouse, the center is a barn, and the right is wooden farm equipment. In front of the barn is fake grass and four small plastic horses. The egg is mounted on a silver horse, rearing up on its back legs and mounted to a round wooden stand.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
