Physical DescriptionA round enameled pendant lettered “SWIMMING” in gold. There is a red circle around the edge. The center is white on top and blue on the bottom, bisected by gold wavy lines for the water. There is a raised gold swimmer about to dive into the water, standing on a red and black YMCA logo. The back is gold and lettered “UNICUS.”Historical NoteRonald Reagan was captain of the Eureka College swim team and worked as a lifeguard in Dixon, IL.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
