Physical DescriptionThis hollow ceramic elephant has a green/brown glazed body and unglazed feet. Written on the bottom of the feet in blue ink is a message from the donor: "Made in Peking, Rewi alley, Good luck to R.R. new President, Helen F. Snow, 1980 GOP."

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through to the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
