Physical DescriptionA political cartoon shows President Ronald Reagan wearing a suit and tie and seated at a desk with an American flag to the left. There are envelopes on the desk and in his arms. Several of the envelopes are alive, with arms, legs, and facing, and are yelling or lecturing Reagan. The most prominent envelope is lettered “STAR-NEWS CHULA VISTA CALIFORNIA PREISDENT RONALD REAGAN OVAL OFFICE WASHINGTON, D.C.” It is lettered “© Joe SCHMIDT ‘80 STAR NEWS 11-16” in the top right corner. The verso is blank.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
