Physical DescriptionA wooden plaque with a red boxing glove and engraved metal plate mounted on the front. The plaque is engraved with "Sock it to 'em, Gipper! Teenage Republicans -Tars 13th Annual National Tar Leadership Conference - TLC The White House June 23, 1981." The glove has a white lace-up and gold lettering near the finger portion of the glove, which is "KG-541." A gold sticker with black lettering is on the back stating: "Award Crafters…"Historical NoteThe plaque was given during reception for Teenage Republicans held in the White House Rose Garden on June 23, 1981.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
