Physical DescriptionA hexagonal crystal paperweight made by Tiffany & Company. The top of the paperweight is etched with text stating, “TO RONALD REAGAN PRESIDENT Of The United States Of America On The Occasion Of The Statue Of Liberty Centennial Celebration, July 4, 1986, EDWARD I. KOCH, Mayor, City Of New York.” The tallest stride of the paperweight is etched with an image depicting the Statue of Liberty and the New York Skyline.
Historical NoteThe paperweight was given as part of the Fourth of July weekend ceremonies in 1986. President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan were in New York, NY for Independence Day and the Statue of Liberty Centennial Celebrations.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
