Physical DescriptionA commemorative medallion with the image of the Statue of Liberty at the center between two male faces in profile. The text at the top of the medallion states, “CENTENAIRE DE LA STATUE DE LA LIBERTE.” The back of the medallion has the Statue of Liberty from behind and iconic buildings from New York and Pairs (.01a). Also included with the medallion is a navy leather case (.01b).

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
