Physical DescriptionA dark blue Cloisonne vase with a floral motif on an ebony colored wood stand. The top and bottom of the vase have brass edges. Also included with the vase is a fabric covered box for storage.Historical NotePresident Ronald Reagan met with Yao Yilin, Deputy Vice Premier of the People's Republic of China, in the Oval Office on May 15, 1986 to to discuss United States and China relations.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
