Physical DescriptionA tan rectangular ostrich leather purse with strap and gold fittings and clasp. The interior is lined in brown leather with three inner sections: one with a zippered compartment, one with two leather slots, and one with a metal top closure.Historical NotePresident Ronald Reagan met with President Raul Alfonsín of Argentina in Oval Office during a working visit on November 17, 1986. The purse was given after the meeting.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a foreign official to First Lady Nancy Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
