Physical DescriptionAn original two-panel strip political cartoon by Kevin Siers. Panel 1: President Ronald Reagan stands in profile, wearing a suit and tie. Mikhail Gorbachev is tiny, dressed in a tutu and boots, with fairy wings and a wand fluttering in front of him. Gorbachev: "GREETINGS FROM TINKER GORBELLCHEV! IF YOU BELIEVE, REALLY BELIEVE, IN TOTAL NUCLEAR DISARMAMENT, CLAP YOUR HANDS!" Panel 2: President Reagan claps his hands and crushes Gorbachev, the wand flying in the air. Caption: "SMACK!" The cartoon is lettered in the first panel "MR. PRESIDENT – PEACE – AND BEST WISHES -- KEVIN SIERS MAY 9, 1987" in the lower right. The second panel is signed "MINNESOTA DAILY © 1985 KEVIN SIERS" across the bottom. The verso is blank.

It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
