Physical DescriptionA hunting knife with a blade made of “D-2 tooled steel” with nickel silver handle guards and ivory handle. The blade is engraved “Ronald W. Reagan, President U.S.A. 1981-1988.” on one side and “M.D. Murphy, Kingsville, Texas” on the other (.01). Also included with the Hunting Knife is a Leather sheath for storage that is stamped with the donor’s name and a star (.02).Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
