Physical DescriptionA copy of Look Magazine, November 1, 1966. The lower section is divided into two, with color photographs of Ronald Reagan and Pat Brown facing each other. They are captioned “RONALD REAGAN” and “PAT BROWN” respectively, in white letters. The top is divided with blue on the left and red on the right, and the logo “LOOK” in white letters in black or gray rectangles is in the upper left. “35 CENTS – NOVEMBER 1, 1966” is to the right in black. The cover stories “CHICAGO STRIFE / A Catholic takes his Church to task” “TEEN MUSIC / Meet The Lovin’ Spoonful,” and “CALIFORNIA’S BITTER RACE / An old star fights an old pro in a struggle for national power” are in white and black letters, justified to the right, and mainly over the red section. There is an address label in the lower left corner, but much of it and the corner are torn off. Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
