Physical DescriptionA ceremonial Japanese helmet contained inside a black lacquered box (b-c). Also included with the helmet is a wooden sign with Japanese characters (d); a white box (e) with Japanese characters containing gold dragon (f), possibly for the top of the helmet; a white envelope (g) with Japanese characters with plaque (h) inside; a piece of dark blue fabric (i) with Japanese characters in white silk screened; a wooden stand (j-k) with a base and stand; and a pamphlet in Japanese (l).Historical NoteIn April-May 1986, President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan visited Indonesia and Japan on their Far East trip. President Reagan attended the G7 Economic Summit in Tokyo and attended the dinner hosted by Prime Minister Nakasone. The gifter gave a set of Samurai dolls and accoutrements as a gift to the United States of America.
