Physical DescriptionA one page program and advertisement for the Sebastiani Theater of Sonoma, CA, on light green paper with calendar blocks that list the films shown for the month with their dates. There is a round hole at the top for hanging.
“PROGRAMME May, 1948 / SEBASTIANI THEATER / John MHR Manager / Phone: Dial 5526 Sonoma, Calif. / AIR CONDITIONED / Admission: Adults. 40 Cents; Children, 16 center; Loges, 50 cents, Tax Included / Matinees Every Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Evenings 7 and 9”
One of the movies advertised for May 14-15 is That Hagen Girl, which starred Ronald Reagan and Shirley Temple. The squares also include the genre, stars, and the studio for each film. Movies include: My Wild Irish Rose, The Arnelo Affair, Personal Column, The Yearling, Always Together, That Hogen [sic] Girl, Killer McCoy, I Love Trouble, The Unfinished Dance, Good News, The Prince of Thieves, You Were Meant for Me, and Green Dolphin Street. Films advertised for the next month include The Swordsman, Calling Northside 222, Captain from Castile, Song of the Thin Man, It Had to be You, and Merton of the Movies.
The back has a preprinted postage stamp “Sec.562, P. L. & R. U. S. POSTAGE PAID SONOMA, CALIF. PERMIT NO. 28” in a black box in the upper right corner. In the center back is a salmon colored rectangular sticker with an address printed. This is mostly torn, leaving only “Rob---” visible.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
