Physical DescriptionA silver-plated tray displayed on a black wood stand with an inlaid glass-like design of a two-headed eagle/snake curled in the center.
Historical NoteThis silver plaque has an eagle and serpent design, symbols of Mexico. It was given to Attorney General Ed Meese.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a foreign official to White House staffer Edwin M. Meese III (Attorney General) during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
