Historical NoteThe LGM-118 Peacekeeper ICBM was originally called MX for "Missile, Experimental." On November 22, 1982 announced the US would produce the Peacekeeper and deploy it at Francis E. Warren AFB, Cheyenne, WY.
Upon hearing Ronald Reagan enjoyed political cartoons, the Kiplinger Foundation gave the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library a collection of Oliphant cartoons that covered the range of President Reagan's administration, selected by Pat Oliphant.

Custodial History NoteThe item was created by Pat Oliphant during the Reagan Administration. The Kiplinger Foundation purchased seventy-four original drawings from Pat Oliphant, had them matted and framed, and donated them to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in 1990.
