Physical DescriptionA pair of 18kt gold clip-back earrings with diamonds inset on the ribbed edge and a bronze Roman coin depicting “Constanzo II, 323, 361 A. D. Impero Romano” in each center.
Historical NoteEach coin depicts Constantius II, who was the Emperor of Rome from 337-361 AD. He shared rulership of the Roman Empire with his brothers until 350, when he became the sole Emperor.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
