Physical DescriptionA commemorative silver coin for the 1984 Summer Olympics, Los Angeles. The obverse depicts the entrance of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, which prominently features two headless sculptures. Along with text stating "Liberty", "In God We Trust", "Los Angeles", "XXIII Olympiad", and the date "1984". The verso of the coin depicts an image of a perched bald eagle with an olive branch; its head turned over its left shoulder. Along with text stating "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ONE DOLLAR E PLURIBUS UNUM RG."

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
