Physical DescriptionThis is a color photograph of Spyros Kyprianou, President of Cyprus, from the waist up. Kyprianou is seated with his hands on the table, wearing a black suit and tie, a white French cuff shirt, and a pocket square. He is wearing square cufflinks, a gold watch, and a ring. There is a white border around the image, inscribed in ink at the bottom with a handwritten note: "To President Ronald Reagan With my best wishes 8 Dec. 1981 [signature] Spyros Kyprianou." The verso is blank.
Historical NoteThe photo was given when President Ronald Reagan met with Spyros Kyprianou, President of Cyprus, on December 8, 1981. President Reagan and the Cypriot President met in a working visit and held discussions on recent developments on Cyprus and the intercommunal talks.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
