Physical DescriptionA four-panel Peanuts cartoon strip. Panel 1: Snoopy is playing baseball, wearing a baseball cap, holding a baseball glove, and fielding. It is labeled "PEANUTS" in a box in the upper left corner and "4-11" in the upper right. Panel 2: Snoopy catches a falling baseball in his mouth, his hat flying off. Captioned "CLOMP!" Panel 3: Snoopy has walked up to the pitcher's mound, which is on the left side. On the mound is Charlie Brown, who is also wearing a baseball cap and holding a baseball glove. Panel 4: Charlie Brown is loosely holding the baseball in his right hand, which is dripping. The dialogue bubble above his head reads, "I KNOW A SPIT-BALL IS ILLEGAL, BUT I WONDER ABOUT A DROOL-BALL?" The panel is signed "SCHULZ" on the right border. The cartoon is signed "For Governor Reagan with admiration and sincere best wishes-Charles Schulz" across the top. The cartoon is in a black frame with a white mat.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a non-gift taken in and saved during the Reagan administration for eventual deposit in a Presidential Library. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
