Physical DescriptionA framed political cartoon by Frank Miller captioned “IT’S A SIMPLE SCRIPT.” It depicts President Ronald Reagan sitting in a director’s chair labeled “Ronald Reagan” holding a motion picture script lettered “Scene 1: Hero stops stampede.” On his left is a film camera, and on his right is a cow skull and other bones; directly in front of President Reagan is a herd of charging bulls labeled “Economic Problems.” The bottom right corner of the cartoon is signed by Frank Miller, and the lower left is dated “12-12-80.” The back of the frame has two additional cartoons taped to it. These prints are also by Frank Miller.
Historical Note The drawing is by Pulitzer Prize winning editorial cartoonist Frank Miller.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through to the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
