Physical DescriptionA handmade postcard with images of the Vietnam War on a black background with text stating "Seeing is believing!" cut from magazines on the front. The back of the postcard is inscribed, "Mr.Reagan, Like it says on the front, Seeing is Believing. Let's cut this stuff out and get down to serious business. I want a world for my kids to live in too. Anonymous, 1980."
Historical NoteStudents at Fremont Ross High School in Fremont, OH made handmade postcards which they sent to the Reagan-Bush Committee during the election of 1980. These postcards have political themes such as the threat of nuclear war, democracy, Iran, the cost of gasoline, and taxes.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
