Physical DescriptionA handmade postcard made with cutouts from magazines and newspapers with an image of Governor Reagan head on a body builder’s body holding an axe and standing on a tank running over President Jimmy Carter, whose head, hand, and foot are sticking out from under the tank. All around are text cutouts stating, "GO Reagan, best, Faithful, KING touchdown." The back of the postcard is inscribed, "Mr. Reagan, I know that you can get the world back to normal and solve all the problems if you are elected President. Julie Talbert."
Historical NoteStudents at Fremont Ross High School in Fremont, OH made handmade postcards which they sent to the Reagan-Bush Committee during the election of 1980. These postcards have political themes such as the threat of nuclear war, democracy, Iran, the cost of gasoline, and taxes.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
